Unveiled ... Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) lifts his mask |
ANDREW Garfield leaps in to action to save a child in a four-minute preview of
The Amazing Spider-Man.
Rhys Ifan's alter ego The Lizard goes on the rampage in New York, throwing
cars off Brooklyn Bridge in the extended clip – which contains some
spoilers.
As they plunge towards the river below, Spider-Man shoots his lines to catch
them before leaping over the edge after a small boy gets trapped inside one
vehicle.
And he removes his mask to put the terrified child at ease.
Brit actor Andrew stars as Peter Parker, who is haunted by the disappearance
of his parents when he was a boy.
When he finds a clue to help him solve the mystery, it brings him into
conflict with his father’s former partner, Dr Curt Connors, played by Welsh
star Rhys.
Meanwhile, his crime-fighting antics anger the chief of police (Denis Leary),
who happens to be dad to girlfriend Gwen (Emma Stone).
Martin Sheen and Sally Field also star as guardians Uncle Ben and Aunt May.
The Amazing Spider-Man is released on July 3.
