Indian acting legend Amitabh Bachchan says you'll miss his Great Gatsby part as a criminal called Wolfsheim if you stop for a moment to rummage in your popcorn.

Indian acting legend Amitabh Bachchan has warned his millions of fans to keep their eyes peeled for his long-awaited Hollywood debut, otherwise they might miss it altogether.

The Bollywood veteran laughed off his brief cameo in the new adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan.

"I play (underworld criminal) Wolfsheim for about a few seconds... by the time you look down on your popcorn to pick another morsel, I'd be gone from the film," Bachchan joked on his blog this week.

Bachchan features prominently in the film's trailer, which was released today, but he advised his avid followers not to expect too much and brushed aside criticism he was too big for such a fleeting role.

"Before you all start punching me for my minuscule participation in the film, may I just say that it was more out of a friendly gesture, than a desire towards furthering my career," he said.

Bachchan, 69, has previously said he was not paid for taking the part, which he agreed to after Australian director and Bollywood admirer Baz Luhrmann visited India.

"It was a sheer delight to work with someone of such great genius as Baz Luhrmann and a host of co stars that have astronomical presence in the world of cinema," Bachchan wrote of the much-hyped 3D film.

Bachchan, known as the "Big B" to his millions of devoted fans, is the elder statesman of Hindi-language cinema, having starred in more than 150 films including in the 1970s hits "Sholay" (Sparks), "Deewaar" (Wall) and "Don".

The Hollywood contingent were joined in the club by Royal rugby player Mike Tindall, who left his wife of 10 months, Zara Phillips at home, preparing for her big day today.

But she was blissfully unaware her hidden support was creeping out under her arm. 

American beauty Cameron complemented Cheryl’s white outfit with a strapless trouser suit and white earrings. 

And she had nothing but praise for the Geordie lass – who makes a cameo as a reality show judge in the movie. 

Cameron even predicted a Hollywood future for the former X Factor panellist. 

She said of Cheryl: “She’s talented, and she’s so lovely and I think of course this is the beginning of many films for her. 

"I’m sure she can do whatever she wants to.

Her trip to Cannes hasn't been all glitz and glamour, however, as she was also offered a large sum of money by an unknown man who wanted to spend the night with her.

It's believed she initially thought it was one of pal Keith's jokes — but soon realised the man wasn't kidding.

CHERYL Cole doesn’t seem too happy to be leaving the glitz and glamour of Cannes as she is snapped checking in at Nice airport. 

The Fight For This Love singer, 28, looked like she was concentrating on a game of "heads shoulders knees and toes" as she leant over to adjust her black leather trousers. 

Later she crouched down to pull at the hems of her trousers before strolling with one hand in her pocket and wheeling a bright pink suitcase in the other. 

Wearing sunglasses on her head and dressed in a white jacket and pretty patterned top, the star cut a much more casual figure than of late. 

Cheryl was at the Film Festival for a whistle-stop two-day trip, courtesy of her beauty brand L’Oreal. 

But the former X Factor judge — who is due to appear on rival show The Voice next weekend — still managed to steal the limelight on the red carpet.

Brooke Hogan Signs on for TNA Wrestling

Brooke Hogan may not have an inappropriate relationship with her father, but she is following in the Hulker's footsteps. His wrestling boot-strapped footsteps, we should say.

Sources confirm to TMZ that the former reality star/failed singer has signed a contract with TNA Wrestling - but she actually won't enter the squared circle.

Instead, oddly enough, Hogan will work new female wrestlers in the company, helping them develop characters, cut promos and enter with the right music. What qualifies Brooke for this position? Her last name. That's pretty much it.

"Brooke is such a great talent who's really sharp and will make a great addition to the TNA family," says TNA President Dixie Carter and, hey, it's not like the relationship could be any worse than the one Hogan has with her own family.

In April, the last time Miley Cyrus anorexic rumors popped up, she explained on Twitter that her noticeable weight loss wasn't from battling an eating disorder.

"For everyone calling me anorexic, I have a gluten and lactose allergy," she said. "It's not about weight - it's about health. Gluten is crap anyway!"

The 19-year-old then added, "Everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, physical and mental health is amazing. You won't go back!"

Even if that's true, to a point, people can go overboard, as some say Miley has done with whatever's caused her to appear so gaunt of late.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Criticized For Not Losing Baby Weight Fast Enough

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a regular on many "most beautiful woman in the world" lists, is being slammed by some fans in her native India.

The reason: Not dropping the weight that she gained during her first pregnancy quickly enough. Seriously. People are not happy. And are voicing it out loud.

In one video posted on YouTube dubbed "Aishwarya Rai’s Shocking Weight Gain" (below), someone who needs a life chronicles her transformation in detail.

“Aishwarya Rai Bachchan post-pregnancy seems to be looking rather plump,” states the description. 

“The Bachchan bahu seems to be taking motherhood very seriously and shockingly seems to have put on at least 5-6 kilos.”

“She needs to learn from people like Victoria Beckham who are back to size zero weeks after their delivery,” a comment on the videos reads.

"She's a Bollywood actress and being a part of showbiz it is her duty to look good and fit. Till now she has been praised for her beauty, so it is only fair that she should also be criticized if she is not able to live up to it,” another states.

With the season winding down to a close, "American Idol" narrowed the contestants down to the final two during a results show on Thursday night (May 17).

Prior to the big announcement, Jennifer Lopez was spotted making a glamorous arrival to the studios before joining alongside fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson for the evening's festivities.

The final three episode featured two guest performances, with Lisa Marie Presley taking the stage first for a rendition of her new single "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" while former "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert later treated audience members and viewers at home to a tune called "Never Close Our Eyes” from his just-debuted album, Trespassing.

As for the show's finalists, host Ryan Seacrest revealed that Jessica Sanchez will face off against Phillip Phillips for the "Idol" title while Joshua Ledet was eliminated from the FOX singing competition. 

Sanchez and Phillips will take the stage for their final performance on Tuesday night (May 19) while the winner will be announced the following evening.

Turning to career news, Miss Benson certainly seems to be looking forward to the anticipation for her upcoming film "Spring Breakers" - as she posted another Twitter pic of two new billboards for the flick on the Croisette in Cannes, tweeting, "Springbreakers."

The Harmony Korine directed new comedy follows four college girls who land in jail after robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation. After being bailed out by a drug and arms dealer they find themselves doing some of his dirty work.

The film also stars Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez and is set to hit theaters in 2013.

Eduardo Saverin, Facebook Co-Founder, Renounces U.S. Citizenship in Advance of IPO

Eduardo Saverin, the billionaire Facebook co-founder portrayed by Andrew Garfield in The Social Network, is no longer an American citizen.

Saverin, 30, renounced the U.S. citizenship he gained as a teenager in advance of the company's impending IPO, a move met with criticism.

He's accused of trying to skip out on taxes with the move, though the Brazilian-born resident of Singapore has done nothing illegal at any point.

Eduardo Saverin co-founded Facebook at age 21, was forced out two years later, sued CEO Mark Zuckerberg and ultimately settled out of court.

He was given a share of the company that left him phenomenally wealthy.

His stake, 4 percent of the company, will most likely be worth more than $3 billion when Facebook goes public Friday. Hence his exit now.

Saverin joins a growing number of people giving up U.S. citizenship, a move that can trim their tax liabilities when residing in lower-tax nations.

Said Tom Goodman, a spokesman for Saverin, in an e-mailed statement:

“Eduardo recently found it more practical to become a resident of Singapore since he plans to live there for an indefinite period of time.”

He professes ignorance about his taxes and refuses to discuss his finances.

“This had nothing to do with taxes,” he insisted. “I was born in Brazil, I was a U.S. citizen for about 10 years. I thought of myself as a global citizen.”

Saverin renounced U.S. citizenship “around September”, according to his spokesman.

Singapore doesn’t have a capital gains tax. It does tax income earned in that nation, as well as “certain foreign- sourced income,” according to reports.

Saverin won’t escape all U.S. taxes. Americans who give up their citizenship owe what is effectively an exit tax on the capital gains from stock holdings.

Renouncing your citizenship in advance of an IPO is “a very smart idea,” said one expert, “Once it’s public you can’t fool around with the value.”

Saverin’s decision to leave could have been a wager that the cost of an exit tax now - 15 percent of whatever valuation he could get the IRS to agree to - would be far less than the 35 percent or more in estate tax his heirs would face.

Sunday’s episode of The Only Way Is Essex finished on a bit of a sour note, with best buds Billi Mucklow and Cara Kilbey arguing with Jess Wright.

The pair had apparently been calling Jess and her mum Carol nasty names – the pair even branded Carol as mutton dressed as lamb.

Ouch.

And who told Jess what Billi and Cara had been saying? Arg; the biggest gossip in Essex, that’s who.

The girls continue to argue with each other, but now Billi and Cara are gunning for Arg as well.

Arg is terrified of what the girls will say when they get to him, and confides in good pal Diags.

“I am actually scared of Billi and Cara, and as soon as I see them I’m gonna run. Trust me, they are absolute nutcases,” Arg tells Diags.

“You can’t run and hide from Billi and Cara for the rest of your lives,” Diags replies.

“Trust me, I beat Billi in the marathon I’ll beat her again if she has to chase me…  Cara on the other hand she’ll catch me up, she's quicker, so I’ll have to get a cab!”

“He’s a stirrer, he’s a people pleaser… you know what he does he tries to become best mates with someone by telling them something but he don’t realise at the same time by upping one mate he’s losing the other,” Billi says.

“If he is causing agg for no reason, he ain’t my mate,” Cara replies.

“Let’s just wait until we bump into him."

While Billi and Cara are talking about Arg, he’s talking about them to Carol and Jess.

“I'll be honest with you, I'm a little bit scared of Cara and Billi,” Arg tells them. 

“Shut up!” Carol shouts.

Jess thinks Arg should pull himself together: “Don't be so silly and man up Argent. You cannot be scared of girls. You know how stupid you look?”

In the end, it's Arg that tells the girls that it's time to clear the air.

“We got to sort this out, haven't we?” Arg tells the girls

Cara agrees: “Yeah, we do.”

But Billi's not happy with Arg - not one little bit.

“So basically, you're a grass,” Billi says.

“You know what, I got no interest in being your friend anymore.”

Gemma’s new man

Gemma mentioned on Sunday that she’d met a fantastic new man, and she can’t wait to tell Billie and Sam Faiers more about Rami.

"Have you gone further with Rami than you did with Charlie," Billie asks.

"All I will say is he is definitely a man, put it that way.”

But Gemma’s happiness doesn’t last long, as she bumps into her ex Charlie King and his good friend Bobby.

Gemma makes a dig about Charlie’s sexuality: “You two have turned into Elton John and David Furnish. You two might as well get together."

But Charlie doesn’t take it too well: “You always have to try and make that innuendo don’t you. You make me laugh.”

Gethin Jones on heartbreak: ‘I'm not ready to move on'

 

Gethin Jones brought a tear to our eye last night at the Sony Radio Academy Awards when he began discussing his former long-term lady, Katherine Jenkins. The TV presenter, who split from the Dancing With The Stars semi-finalist nearly six months ago, admitted he wasn't ready to consider dating as he is yet to move on from his four-year relationship with Kath.

“There’s no romance at the moment,” he smiled. “It’s a bit too soon for all that. I’m taking it easy. It’s nice to say I’m really focusing on work and those things are really picking up."

Geth’ also revealed that he has been watching his ex-girlfriend on the telly as she tries to get herself into the final of the American dance show. 

“I’ve seen Katherine in a few [episodes of DWTS]," he admitted. "She’s amazing isn’t she? She’s a brilliant dancer and I said to her at the start that there’s no doubt that she’ll go on to win it and that they’ll love her over there."

And of course when we agreed with ol’ Geth’ that indeed they do love her over there, he pretended to have a little cry and said sadly, "Okay, don’t rub it in".

Luckily for him, there was a large barrier between the sexy Welsh man and us, or else we probably would have launched a full on shoulder at him to cry on (while stroking his hair and whispering sweet nothings). But in all seriousness, Geth’ if you need us – we are here for you pal. Ahem.

Last night’s Made In Chelsea: Jamie confronts Spencer and Louise, Millie hates Rosie and Richard woos Kimberley

We were sat on the edge of our seat, waiting to see what would happen with Spencer, Louise and Jamie in this week's episode of Made In Chelsea. And it didn’t fail to disappoint from the very first minute.

As Spencer Matthews and Louise Thompson arrive home from their life-changing trip to Dubai, Jamie Laing is waiting on Louise’s doorstop; ready to confront the pair. Instead of an exchange of holiday souvenirs and duty-free booze, all that’s exchanged is angry words and even angrier looks.

“What happened in Dubai? Did you f***ing sleep together? How could you do this to me?” Jamie says.

“You know about my feelings for her. Do you want her to be your girlfriend? Because I want her to be my girlfriend,” replies Spencer.

“Are you animals?” asks Jamie, as Louise burst into tears. “How could you do this to a friend? You deserve each other.

“I'm glad you're crying, you should feel my pain right now. You're weak. You told me you never wanted to hook up with him again, and the first thing you do when you get to Dubai is sleep with him. My best mate in the f***ing world and you've broken us apart.”

To Spencer he adds: “Me and you, that's it.”

The next day Louise is avoiding all calls and texts from Spencer. When Millie Mackintosh and Hugo’s ladyfriend Natalie Joel pop over to see her they suggest they head off for a lovely spa weekend.

Hugo isn’t very supportive and tells Jamie ‘he might just have to like it or lump it.’

Someone who’s proving to be a lot more supportive to poor old Jamie is Francis Boulle, who turns up at his door with a crate of lager – Francis’ favourite tipple… or not.

Francis tries to help Jamie by telling him that when he’s not sure what to do in a situation, he thinks about what Jesus would do.

“Jesus was like a superhero – he got shit done,” Francis explains.

Jesus would forgive Spencer and Louise, but Jamie can’t bring himself to forgive Louise for her part in all of this. And he’s still not crazy about the idea of forgiving Spencer either.

Spencer tells Louise that he wants her to be his girlfriend. She doesn’t seem one hundred percent convinced and tells him she’ll think about it while she’s away on her spa weekend.

Jamie reluctantly agrees to meet up with Spencer. 

He wants to find out if Spencer’s serious about Louise or if he just wants to ‘shag her.’

Spencer rattles on about really liking Louise again but it doesn’t help much; Jamie’s still furious.

Louise turns up on Jamie’s Door. She tells him that she can’t control her feelings for Spencer and he makes her ‘feel pretty special.’

Jamie does not love hearing this, as you can imagine.

Louise rings Spencer to tell him she’s come to a decision about their future.

They meet in the same spot where Spencer told Caggie how much he liked her back in the day. Awkward.

A nice relaxing spa weekend

Mille, Louise, Natalie and her twin Karin are having a great time at the spa when Cheska Hull, Rosie Fortescue and Victoria Baker-Harber turn up and right-royally spoil Millie’s day. God, she hates Rosie.

Cheska, Rosie and Victoria overhear Millie slagging them off. Natalie suggests that having the girls there is a good way of them getting to know everyone better.

“I think I’d rather get to know the bottle of Champagne better,” Millie quips.

Rosie and Cheska come over to speak to Millie and it all kicks off.

“The way you spoke about Cheska earlier is revolting,” says Rosie.

“You should feel like an idiot because you’re f***ing rude.”

The next morning Millie has breakfast with Louise and decides she’s had enough and wants to go home.

Richard Dinan finally gets to go on a date with Kimberley Garner, and what better way to impress a posh, rich girl than to take her on a helicopter ride to a restaurant that’s been hired out by Richie Rich himself.

Binky’s been informed that her old boss Diego has been in a long-term relationship with Kimberley for quite some time and the couple only split two weeks ago. So Kimberley was definitely with Diego when she went on her dates with Jamie, Spencer and Francis – and God knows who else.
