Epic scale ... 250,000 fans pack Mexico City's Zocalo Square for Sir Paul McCartney's free concert |
PAUL McCartney’s band on the run was even bigger on Thursday night.
He was joined on stage in Mexico City by a huge mariachi group.
It was just as well he had a few extra musicians on hand.
The Beatles icon was playing a massive free show for 250,000 people in the
Mexican capital’s Zocalo Square.
Sir Paul said: “It was quite emotional and exciting that people who might not
be able to afford to come to our shows could come to this. It was like
Beatlemania all over again.”
Except with a few sombreros and tortillas thrown in.
