Avengers Star Chris Hemsworth & Wife Welcome Daughter

He's been a Norse god, a wayward huntsman and an Avenger, and now,

Chris Hemsworth will be taking on an even more important role -- that of a father!

The actor, 28, and his wife, "Fast Five" actress Elsa Pataky, 35, welcomed their first child together -- a baby girl -- in London on Friday, according to Us Weekly.

Their newborn daughter's name is India, according to the mag.

Chris and Elsa first announced their pregnancy back in January.

The couple met in early 2010 and married in December of the same year in Chris' native Australia.

Chris can currently be seen on the big screen wielding his all-powerful hammer as Thor in "The Avengers," and will next be seen with Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron in "Snow White and the Huntsman"--set to hit theaters on June 1.
