OUTKAST rapper Andre 3000 has landed a movie role most musicians-turned-actor
would kill for – playing Jimi Hendrix.
Andre, who bears a decent resemblance to the Sixties guitar icon – is to play
him in new Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side.
It tells the story of Hendrix’s time working on classic album Are You Experienced? while the American was living in England in 1966 and ’67.
So there’ll be a fair few Brit actors queuing for parts.
The movie starts shooting at the end of this month, in Ireland, with Andre committed to filming for six weeks.
The man is already an accomplished guitarist but will have to go some to strum like Jimi, who died in 1970.
