Gethin Jones on heartbreak: ‘I'm not ready to move on'

 

Gethin Jones brought a tear to our eye last night at the Sony Radio Academy Awards when he began discussing his former long-term lady, Katherine Jenkins. The TV presenter, who split from the Dancing With The Stars semi-finalist nearly six months ago, admitted he wasn't ready to consider dating as he is yet to move on from his four-year relationship with Kath.

“There’s no romance at the moment,” he smiled. “It’s a bit too soon for all that. I’m taking it easy. It’s nice to say I’m really focusing on work and those things are really picking up."

Geth’ also revealed that he has been watching his ex-girlfriend on the telly as she tries to get herself into the final of the American dance show. 

“I’ve seen Katherine in a few [episodes of DWTS]," he admitted. "She’s amazing isn’t she? She’s a brilliant dancer and I said to her at the start that there’s no doubt that she’ll go on to win it and that they’ll love her over there."

And of course when we agreed with ol’ Geth’ that indeed they do love her over there, he pretended to have a little cry and said sadly, "Okay, don’t rub it in".

Luckily for him, there was a large barrier between the sexy Welsh man and us, or else we probably would have launched a full on shoulder at him to cry on (while stroking his hair and whispering sweet nothings). But in all seriousness, Geth’ if you need us – we are here for you pal. Ahem.
