THE glitterati were out in force last night for the fashion event of the year.
Hollywood A-listers joined fashion royalty on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the Costume Institute Gala.
Bajan beauty Rihanna was the pick of the best bunch, rocking a black backless crocodile dress from Tom Ford’s Autumn 2012 collection to the bash in NYC.
She dazzled in the elegant yet edgy number at the do to celebrate the opening of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibition.
Also wowing at the Met Gala was Scarlett Johansson, who looked stunning in an
off-the-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana gown.
The UGLY
While Cameron Diaz shone as she covered-up in a snug gold Stella McCartney number.
Carey Mulligan, the co-host of this year’s do, sparkled in Prada in a gold and
silver halter-neck creation on her first public outing since tying the knot
with Mumford & Sons rocker Marcus Mumford.
The BAD
Gwyneth Paltrow, also wearing Prada, showed off her endless pins in an effortlessly stylish duchesse halter-neck dress.
Actresses Camille Belle and Debra Messing opted for eye-popping plunging
necklines in Ralph Lauren and KaufmanFranco respectively.

while Glee actress Lea Michelle was ravishing in a dark blue Diane von
